Hypocrisy

Many Westerns were very surprised by the Muslims reaction to the Danish newspaper .. Those Westerns emphasized the value of freedom of speech as a basic human right and pillar of their civilization .. In the same time, when the Australian TV broadcasted the more of Abu Gharib horrific pictures .. many of the Westerns did not show much of enthusiasm to defend a basic human right and claimed value in the West which is protecting human rights and dignity. Why ?!

Was it because those prisoners are Iraqis? Arabs? Muslims?

Was it because those Iraqis “might” be terrorists?

For me, it is an equal action to the hypocrisy many Muslims did towards the cartoons issue. People will show their anger when the so called “crime” is done by the “Other” but not when it is done by “Us”!.
